252 It is an universal pedagogical principle do it into the mother tongue of the country. Particularly, for Madagascar the most suitable teaching language should be of course malagasy. Let us quote some more examples. In France, the teaching language is French, in the USA and Great Britain it is the english language, in China they teach in Chinese. It is to be noted that the above mentioned countries are among the most powerful ones in the world. On the contrary, the countries which have been compelled for some reasons, to adopt a foreign language as teaching languages in the primary and secondary schools are among the poorest countries in the world of which are the former French and English colonies. It is the reason which led the author to make an attempt of secondary school last grade of a cinematic lesson translation into Malagasy, in order to clarify the stakes and challenges which one has to cope with when facing such a situation. There has been an attempt of language teaching reform in the 70s and 80s, but it failed because of a lack of formal academical monitoring structure. By setting back this theme, the author has tried to set up the necessary and mood while translating the technical expressions and words of the cinematic into Malagasy.
