195 Social differences are factors to consider in the study of languages. Language differs depending on the social setting. This article will attempt to highlight effective language practices, representations and correlations between social inequalities and the understanding of plurilingualism. We choose “language ecology” as a theoretical approach because our work consists of studying the relationships between language and society. Divergences were noted regarding the opinions regarding languages and languages practices of witnesses from urban and peri-urban areas. All this allowed us to obtain qualitative results. To resolve the decline in the education system, we must refer to current situations and take specific actions to meet the expectations of society and keep up with the challenges imposed by globalization. Languages represent more and more challenges for success currently because globalization is effective.
