Sur la geodiversite de Madagascar : quelques mineraux endemiques

Mara E. R.;Rasamimanana G.;Razakamanana T.

172 Madagascar is widely recognized for the importance of its biodiversity, but geodiversity is not lacking in this blessed island. We therefore describe some minerals (Ambatoarinite, Ampangabeite, Befanamite, Betafite, Bityite, Faratsihite, Grandidierite, Hibonite, Imerinite, Laurentthomasite, Manandonite, Pezzotaite, Samiresite, Torendrikite) which are endemic there following various subsequent scientific evidence. At this place, we are incited to show them in order to preserve them well and above all to protect them. An amendment to Decree No. 2006-910 of August 19, 2006 would be highly desirable.

Key-words: geodiversity, endemic minerals, preserving, protecting
