La violence sociale dans un mythe tsimihety
RAZAMANY Guy
A tsimihety myth which is the subject of our article is entitled The Little Leper. The latter is also the
name of the main character of the story; he was the youngest of his family and hated by his two brothers for
his morbidity, leprosy which is considered by society as his curse. This question of morbidity caused the
society presented by his brothers to banish The Little Leper; it was about social violence towards him so
that his morbidity would not transmit to society. Indeed, he made his life in a lake space for angling; his
fishing was good, not because he had caught many fish by his line, but he had caught a beautiful woman,
the Mermaid. He had married her; the couple had a child.
