276 Nowadays, the country is increasingly losing its sociocultural values based on Fihavanana, mutual assistance, solidarity, and mutual respect, for which our ancestors were renowned worldwide. The loss of direction and the emphasis on globalization are among the causes of the current upheaval in society. No one is spared from acts of banditry, insecurity, and various forms of violence, whether in rural or urban areas, in the Highlands or the provinces. Women are among the victims. It is time to find sustainable solutions so that everyone can live in harmony with one another to safeguard future generations. One of the proposed solutions, seen as a tool for peace, security, and tranquility, is the "Kianja maitso." It brings many benefits to those who have adopted it in their daily lives. The communities that have embraced the "Kianja maitso" are among the models of serenity, peace, and appeasement. The question arises: "Are we ready to use this distinctly Malagasy social structure to revive our sociocultural values and to be the foundation for sustainable development?"
